March 5 ,2020 February 20 ,2020 Mary Furlong, representing the"Society of St Sulpice" made a presentation about her ventures and manychanges in Africa. She commented on the programs to help poor familiesand their children. February 20 ,2020 Barbara Rupp, representing “Hanover AgainstHunger” spoke to our club to present their program to provide meals forneedy families. Since retiring as superintendent of schools for the SouthWestern School District, she has become very involved in many communityprojects in the Hanover area.& They are seeking volunteers to form teams tohelp pack meals for a special event scheduled for November 7th.& January 16 2020 Beverly Stambaugh the Executive Director representing the American Red Cross Chapter of South Central Pennsylvania shared their programs to support Hanover and the surrounding community.& She has served for 21 years in central and southern Maryland and Pennsylvania and is currently the Executive Director of the York Chapter of the Red Cross. December 5, 2019 Zac Sheafer, Baseball, Softball, & Summer Special Projects Director for Hanover Borough spoke about the new leagues being established for children. He discussed the different leagues and ball fields.November 21, 2019 Bob Miller of the Hanover Allied Verterans spoke about their program to sent local veterans for their trip to the Marine Corps Museum supporting local vets November 7. 2019 Our club held a New Teachers Night teachers in local high schools. It was a great time to recognize our incoming teachers, who bring new energy and talents to our schools.October 31, 2019 We hosted Miss Hanover at our dinner meeting. As is our tradition, our club normally hosts Miss Hanover and her court, just before the start of the Halloween Parade |
